Perfect family vacation in well organized hotel enjoying swimming pools, aqua park and food

The hotel is like a "small village" were everything is at hand. The family room with sea view was spacious, big clean bathroom also. Interesting were the activities daily foreseen to entertain the people like eg pool parties, small boats on the swimming pools, evening kids disco and music. Food in the different restaurants was off good quality and different every day. Another interesting set-up was the 4 person bikes which can be rented to drive through the large hotel. Special thx to Bianka to support us all 10 days and make the birthday of my girls fantastic, but also the cleaning crew to invent every day a towel sculpture which made my 6 year old daughter wonder every evening what she would find !!!

Actually nothing really annoyed my family. But as a hint it could be useful to put fridges with water reachable by the people themselves as now at the pool/beach bars you need to queue for water next to the "cocktail" consumers. Water in kids aqua was still a bit cold, off course was still April...

"Perfect Family Vacation with Outstanding Service – A True 10/10!" Review: From the moment we arrived at Pickalbatros Sea World Resort in Marsa Alam, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. Every member of the team – from the friendly gardeners to the flawless room service – went above and beyond. A very special thank you to Bianka from Guest Relations, who made our stay feel like a true VIP experience. She anticipated our wishes before we even expressed them, with heartfelt professionalism. We were upgraded free of charge to a spacious family suite directly on the beach. Housekeeping was outstanding every day, but special thanks to Waleed, the Housekeeping Manager, who made us feel like honeymooners with special little touches like fresh juices and daily surprises in the room. The beach was always clean and well-organized, with plenty of loungers available at any time. The beach service was simply legendary – cold drinks were served regularly and with a smile. The resort grounds are immaculate, and the aquapark is a true paradise for children. Only a small note: while the main buffet restaurants offer a wide variety, the atmosphere can feel a bit busy at times. However, the à la carte restaurant by the beach was a true highlight for us. Overall Rating: 10/10 Highly recommended – especially for families!

Amazing relaxing stay with our children and friends.

Most of the people have a great service attitude, with a very big smile, willing to help and give the best experience to guests. Everyone from reception, managers, Yousouf -the room keeper- and with a very few exceptions from the servers had an amazing helpful and service attitude. We got a great room with a semi-private pool just in front. The cooking chef was always around with an amazing attitude, making sure that the food was readily available and always a smile and helping guests. Our preferred restaurant was Culina, that offers seafood. We would have appreciated to have more options of local food. Instead, it was very international (which might be the preference of 99% of guests, predominantly Czech and German). We loved the Egyptian culture and the few trips/activities we did (snorkeling, sunset view with the quads, and facials in the spa). Thanks to the whole team for this amazing week with our kids (9 and 7) and our friends, also a family with young children.

The experience exceeded all of my expectations for our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived, the staff at the resort were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The restaurant staff and housekeeping team, in particular, went above and beyond to make us feel right at home. Their warmth and attentiveness made our stay truly special. The resort itself is a masterful creation. The crystal sandy beach was simply breathtaking, and the variety of pools, including the new aqua park, added an extra element of fun and excitement. We found ourselves constantly exploring and enjoying the different areas of the resort. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible dining options. With over 5 restaurants to choose from, each offering a unique culinary experience, we were spoiled for choice. Every meal was a delight, and we found ourselves eagerly looking forward to trying different dishes. And let's not forget the luxurious cafes! They provided the perfect setting for us to relax and enjoy some quality time together. What truly sets this resort apart is its ability to cater to different moods. Whether we wanted a tranquil and peaceful environment or a more active and vibrant atmosphere, the resort had it all. We loved how we could easily switch between the two, depending on our mood and desires. In fact, we were so enamored with this lovely place that we made the decision to extend our stay. It was impossible to resist the charm and allure of the resort. We wanted to soak up every moment and create lasting memories in this paradise.

What was the highlight of Pickalbatros Sea World Resort

A laid-back all-inclusive village in the middle of nowhere

The staff is very attentive and constantly asks if everything is OK. The lobby and restaurants are nicely decorated. Some food could be a bit warmer, but in general the food exceeded my expectations. I really liked the places where a cook made / cut a dish on the spot. Definitely the fresh orange juice on some days was appreciated. The drinks were OK, just what you can expect from an all-inclusive resort, way too sweet juices and cheap beer. But with a bit of ice it tastes still pretty ok. The wine was slightly better. The pools were clean and spacious. The beach was bigger than I expected and the wind shields were a nice addition. You can go snorkelling in the shallow bit, even if the 'red' flag is there, meaning you cant go swim next to the reef. In our stay, only 4 days had a yellow flag. However, the sea was really rough, they didnt raise the red flag for nothing. Pretty corals in the deep.

In general everything is ok, but they really want a 10/10 on booking and you only get that if everything is superb. The overall maintenance of the rooms could really be improved. Shower heads are not attached, kit is missing in places, doors don't close properly and can't be closed silently. You will wake up when a neighbour closes the door.. WiFi is baaaaaad. In the room it's ok, but some places at the pool/beach/restaurant just dont have internet. Also nice that they have a big tv in the room, but 90% of the channels can't be broadcasted.. the internet is too bad for casting from your phone..The cleaning guy was quite pushy. Everytime he knocked to ask if everything is ok and gave us cola and fruit. We don't really needed that but he was waiting for a tip. One time he even opened our door himself and he knew we were there.. Bit too much, we were trying to avoid him and I don't think guests should have to do that.. We didnt leave the premises for 2 weeks because excursions are crazy over priced and there's nothing close by. The shops on the premises were terrible, extremely pushy people and ridiculous prices. Bring enough sun screen, they know they are the only shop and raise prices a lot. We also went to the Spa and the haggling was fierce.. I dont understand why they do this.. a massage for 150 euro and after haggling 40 and the massage itself was not bad, but definitely not great. I would avoid it. All the above sounds a bit negative, but it's small stuff. The acoustics of some restaurants is terrible, definitely 'soprano' , you can't talk if you're inside. Better sit outside, but the first days it was too cold for that. In general it was great, but it can be improved.
